MEIL provides excellency in both fundamental and applied research in the field of Artificial Intelligence and edge technologies combined with industry needs and support. The conducted research projects will provide trainees, MSc and PhD students as well as postdoctoral fellows, with unique inter-disciplinary training that will give them a very competitive basis for obtaining positions in industry or academia.

Objective
Our goal is to develop technologies for the efficient implementation of machine intelligence at the edge to enable and support real-time applications such as video processing and analytics, natural language processing, self-driving cars, artificial intelligence and robotics. We aim to provide a hands-on learning experience to students using latest technologies in machine learning and hardware design.
